N2JEU's Web Controlled Shortwave Receiver

It will contain the latest information on the radio and the site in
general.
There is a 15 minute time limit on the stream. You can re-start the stream after the 15 minute time limit though. This is to reduce the number of connected streams where no-one may be listening. Due to server performance and bandwidth limits there is a maximum of 50 streams available. This number may be reduced if there are problems maintaining the streams.
Once again during the 2009 hurricane season the receiver here will be used to stream audio for the Hurricane Watch Net. There will be times when it is locked on the HWN frequency for hours or days at a time. If you try to use the receiver during those times you'll usually get a message saying that it is use for the net.
The Icom
IC-R75 is online as the receiver.
The antenna is a 43 foot Zero-Five Antennas multiband vertical.
The receiver is located in
Canastota, NY. That's about 20 miles east of Syracuse, NY in the middle
of the state. Canastota, NY is also home to the International Boxing
Hall of Fame.
NOTE: I'm
putting up my own Internet Remote Base. It is a ham radio station
controlable over the Internet by licensed ham radio operators. There
may be times when the remote ham station is in operation when the RF
from it may overload the receiver. There's probably not much that I can
do about it. On the bright side, the ham station will be available in
RX mode when it isn't being used by ham operators. It will require a
login name and password when it does begin operation. If you want to
know more about the remote system or the software that will run it then
please visit http://www.n2jeu.net/
