It is with deep regret that I announce the shut down of the receiver. The fighting over the control of it has finally, after over 12 years of operation, become a major problem. I had hoped that users would respect that this was a shared resource but the continued problems make continued operation with the current control software an impossibility. I may or may not write a new control package or find some other software to make continued operation possible. Right now though I've decided to take a bit of a vacation from running the receiver.
Since I did provide live audio streaming for a number of other organizations in emergency situations, the basic hardware will continue to operate but without direct user control. In other words you can continue to listen in but you will have NO CONTROL over tuning the radio. There a link further down the page to the audio stream but don't expect to hear very much when the radio isn't in use during emergency situations. It may wind up parked on WWV most of the time.
If you have any questions or comments I can be reached at n2jeu (at) ralabs.com.
There is a 15 minute time limit on the stream. You can re-start the stream after the 15 minute time limit though. This is to reduce the number of connected streams where no-one may be listening. Due to server performance and bandwidth limits there is a maximum of 50 streams available. This number may be reduced if there are problems maintaining the streams.
The Icom
IC-R75 is online as the receiver.
The antenna is a 43 foot Zero-Five Antennas multiband vertical.
The receiver is located in
Canastota, NY. That's about 20 miles east of Syracuse, NY in the middle
of the state. Canastota, NY is also home to the International Boxing
Hall of Fame.
