My control program software has been in use since October, 1999. The
Pegasus/Jupiter control program has been through 64 version updates
during this time. It is a very mature and stable product. Most of
the added features are a direct result of user input. All the emphasis
has been on the product and not on this website!
In order to get my software, you must be a registered user. Over the
past year, there has been a new versions of my software every 1 to 3
months. As a registered user, you will receive free updates as they
come out for a period of 1 year. After the year expires, you will no
longer receive updates until you renew your registration. Any version
you received prior to your registration expiring, will continue to
operate for as long as you use it. Your license to use the software
you have received is lifetime.
As long as your registration is current, updates will be emailed to
you as they come out. Also, as a registered user, I will give you
all the help I can via email to resolve any problems you may run
into. The Pegasus/Jupiter software has been reviewed in the May
2001 QST on page 65. There are also several reviews on my
software at www.eham.net.
To become a registered user for any of my my software products, mail a
personal check (I do not wait for it to clear) for the product amount
in US dollars to:

you want to order. I will then send you a Paypal invoice that
will make ordering
very simple.
If you do not have internet access
and want the software on
diskette or CD, there is an additional charge of $10.00 for
a diskette or CD mailed directly to you.
All my software runs on all windows operating systems including Windows
95,
98, 98SE, ME, NT, 2000, XP and Vista (including the 64 bit versions of
XP and Vista).
This software does NOT run under Windows 3.1.
My programs have support for the
Telepost LP-100A watt meter and also the Telepost
LP-Pan panadapter. See www.telepostinc.com
for information of these products.
All my software also has support for the Griffin Technology Powermate.
This is a knob that is connected to the USB port and can be used as
a software controlled tuning knob. This is very helpful for radios
that do not have a remote tuning pod as this allows knob tuning while
using full software control of the radio. For information on this
USB tuning knob (called the "Powermate"), see
www.griffintechnology.com
All my programs now fully support
the LDG AT-200PC Autotuner.
By using this tuner, tuning your antenna has never
been easier. This allows the program to recall tuner settings
when going to a new band without the need to transmit.
All my programs now fully support
the LDG DTS-4 and DTS-6 coax
antenna switch via serial port control. This means my program
will automatically select each antenna position via frequency ranges
that you define for each antenna switch position. There is also a
simple way to manually select antenna positions via a mouse click.
All my programs now fully support
the Tokyo High Power Amplifier HL-1.5KFX.
Regardless of what radio you are actually running, my program will send
Kenwood commands to this amplifier through a second serial port. This
allows full automatic band switching for the amplifier even with Tentec
radios.
All my programs now fully support the Acom 2000 Amplifier. As you
change frequencies
on your radio, the Acom 2000 will automatically tune itself to the new
frequency without
the need to transmit.

This is the N4PY Orion Control Program. It will control an Orion or Orion II transceiver. Additionally, it will allow an RX-340 to be used as an alternate receiver to the Orion. The Orion program features "Smart VFO". This is an intelligent algorithm that automatically assigns the best receiver to VFO A and VFO B depending on the frequencies of each VFO making the ham band only limitation of the Orion's main receiver almost unnoticeable. The software also allows the seemless use of transverters for the VHF/UHF bands with the display showing the transverter frequency. Full configurability directly from the program is available. You can even adjust the values for fast, medium, and slow AGC. There is also now a separate front panel slider to control AGC Theshold. And the nice part about this control is it is remembered by band. Additionally, there is a save/restore feature for the internal memories of the Orion. You can select to run the program in Front Panel control mode and have the program monitor the operation of the Orion. This allows the software to export a pegasus file interface to any logging program that can work with a pegasus. The end result is you can now have full logging control of the Orion while the Orion is in front panel control. You can also decide to run the Orion entirely from the program and not use the Orion front panel controls at all.

This is the N4PY Icom Control Program. It will control
an IC-756PRO, IC-756PROII, IC-756PROIII, IC-706MKIIG, IC-746, IC-746PRO,
IC-703, IC-775, IC-756, IC-718, IC-781, IC-7000, IC-7200, IC-7600,
IC-7700 and IC-7800.
This program allows full control of your Icom transceiver from your
computer. The software also allows the seamless use of transverters
for the VHF/UHF bands with the display showing the transverter
frequency.
Additionally, there is a save/restore feature for the internal
memories of your Icom transceiver. In addition to controlling the
program
from a computer, you can also control frequency and mode directly from
the
radio with the program keeping up with the changes.
This allows the software to export a pegasus file interface to
any logging program that can work with a pegasus.
The program also has a spectrum sweep that alows you to see the entire
band at a glance and use your mouse to click on signals you wish to
listen to.
Starting with version 1.25, full memory file support is now provided
to program all 5 memory banks of the IC-7000 including 9 character
memory names and split transmit status. This is done very simply
with ascii text files that allow saving all the current memory contents
to a file and restoring then from a file back to the IC-7000.

This is the N4PY Pegasus Control Program. It will control a Pegasus, Jupiter, Omni VII, RX-320, RX-330, RX-331, RX-340, RX-350, Argonaut V, Elecraft K2, Elecraft K3, Kenwood TS-850, TS-950, TS-570, TS-870, TS-480, or TS-2000 or FLEX-5000, FLEX-3000, and SDR-1000 as a primary radio. Additionally, it will allow an RX-320, RX-350, second pegasus, second Jupiter, or second Elecraft K2 to be used as a sub-receiver to the primary radio with the sub-receiver following VFO B. And with the Omni VII as the primary radio, you can have the RX-320, Pegasus, Jupiter, or RX-340 as the sub-receiver. This allows for full dual receive capabilty for DXer's. The software also allows the seemless use of transverters for the VHF/UHF bands with the display showing the transverter frequency. Full configurability directly from the program is available. Additionally, there is a save/restore feature for the internal memories of the Jupiter, RX-350, and Argonaut V. You can also run the Jupiter, Omni VII, or Argonaut V in Front Panel control mode and have the program monitor the operation of the these radios. This allows the software to export a pegasus file interface to any logging program that can work with a pegasus. The end result is you can now have full logging control of the Jupiter, Argonaut V, or Omni VII while they are in front panel control.
The Elecraft K2 can be used as the primary radio. Additionally, an rx320 or second K2 can be added to the primary K2 for full dual receive. When two K2's are used, the exported operating frequency for logging programs is based on the last transceiver that transmitted. When using this program with a K2, you can still use logging programs by configuring the logging programs to use a TenTec Pegasus file interface. The K2 can simultaneously be controlled from the program or the K2 front panel.
Reasons to use the N4PY program with your Flex Radio
Antenna control through parallel port or LDG coax serial switch Front panel control of noise blanker values Front panel control of flex 5000 antenna selection including receiver only ant My help and adding features as required quickly control of external antenna tuners clicking on panadapter display always sets transmit frequency Separate band buttons for CW and SSB. Band buttons for SWL with user definable ranges Very quick up 5 button Low cut and High cut controls Most functions can be controlled with mouse wheel, not just frequency and mouse wheel has a high speed setting as well. Separate default AGC settings by mode Frequency event timer to allow automatic changing of frequency by times for an unattended receiver to listen to on the internet 10 minute automatic CW ID Frequency scan Separate comport for Steppir and External amplifier control Full K1EL winkey keyer support Transmit protection by license class to not allow transmit unless ok with license class. This includes mode and prevents accidental transmission of SSB in the CW portion of 40 meters. Power level saved for each band. And also power output for an amplifier is saved by each band. And CW band is separate from an SSB band.
The Kenwood TS-850, TS-570, TS-870, TS-480, and TS-2000 can be used as the primary radio. You can add a tentec rx320 and get full HF dual receiver operation. When using this program with a Kenwood radio, you can still use logging programs by configuring the logging programs to use a TenTec Pegasus file interface. The Kenwood radio can simultaneously be controlled from the program or the radio front panel.
The program will control both receivers in the Kenwood TS-950 for full HF dual receive operation. The program will not control the sub-receiver in the TS-2000 since the TS-2000 sub-receiver is VHF/UHF only.
When using the RX-330, RX-331, or RX-340 top of the line receivers with a Pegasus or Jupiter , the program allows full transceive operation. The RX-331/RX-340 becomes the main receiver with the Pegasus/Jupiter receiver following VFO B to allow full dual receive. This is a dynamite setup representing the ultimate transceiver configuration. The software will also allow the RX-331 or RX-340 to be used standalone without a Pegasus or Jupiter. There is a small modification required to the Pegasus/Jupiter to allow the two receivers to share the same antenna. Also, a fairly simple interface box must be constructed for the software to control muting between the two radios. There is a review of this software at www.eham.net under HF Transceivers "Ten-Tec RX340/Pegasus System".
N4PY DX Spots Program First Time Registration - Free to all registered users Annual Renewal Registration - Free to all registered users
Screen Shot Users Manual
The N4PY DX Spots program consists of several programs that work together. These program and data files are designed to work with all N4PY Radio Control programs. All these programs use the TenTec file interface. The DX Spot program will only work with N4PY Radio Control programs. The main goal of the program suite is to provide real time DX spot information, easy setting of the radio to the DX spot frequency, automatic and manual checking of the DX spot against the user's DXCC records and DXCC, WAS, and grid square record keeping. There is also a way to import a cabrillo log file into the program to get your logs and DXCC statistics converted to N4PYLog format quickly. Once you have your log data imported into N4PYLog, your DXCC records can be automatically updated from your log information. The real time DX Spot information comes from a DX Cluster internet connection. This program is available for download by current registered users in the n4py software user's group "files" area in Yahoo groups.
